Last year we had to bring some in mid December ,this year they are still out I am going to bring a 130 in today and leave the rest out for another week or 2 weather permitting and save the straw

we scanned a batch and usually have to house them....we just pulled half a dozen of the rather leaner ones out and put them inside,rest went back to allotment....save on straw and save going lame inside.

We scanned the first lot on Friday, guess one of the tips wasn’t working properly as they were very spread out and 15 empty out of 200. Will scan those again in a month, thankfully only 9 triplets and a normal lambing percentage of 150%

That's very close to ideal I reckon.

We were similar, scanned the first batch of 247 last week mix of 80 pure texel and the rest were 3 quater texel 187% over all only 3 geld. Very pleased not to many trips either
Still got the second batch of 730 mules to scan in 3 weeks see how they get on everything seems to be in good condition.

Had the scanner this morning:

45 Triplets
189 Twins
37 Single
9 Barren.

196% including barrens.
203% without.
A little too high if anything. I suspect some of the barrens were to do with a couple of hare coursers who worried the flock towards the tail end of tupping.

Vet here reckons it can help to “clean out the tubes”. On the other hand, I’ve heard of one vet practice that won’t carry out the test as they see it as causing unnecessary harm and suffering

Yea around 20 in lamb to him, bigger type of beltex ewes, didn't risk him on the smaller piggy type ewes till I know how he lambs! Fingers and toes crossed

Neighbors son works down Ayrshire ( second hand info ) 500ish scanned at 275% 40 sets quads, more trips than pairs - good job there’s plenty grass so far this year .
I’m more than happy with my 180 - 200 % over different lots , not many empty & less than 10% trips
