yea same here I don't drink at lambing either, I do know someone though who went out for a night during lambing. His wife had rung him and said she needed a hand lambing a ewe. He came home and tried to lamb a tup :ROFLMAO: true story as well
I’m sure we all know of at least 1 person who has tried to put clusters on a bull, SOBER!!

Six nations doesn’t help during lambing, I don’t drink but I’ve had enough staff over the years that have spent the whole day after a six nations game leaning off the quad being sick

He must have been bladdered. I remember lambing a Charollais ewe in my DJ one year, having just arrived back on the minibus from the County YFC Christmas do.:D It find it doesn’t matter if I can’t see straight, as I often close my eyes when i’m Feeling for what’s what.

Mixed mob of 2 and 4 tooths. Disappointed with the scan.

4 tooths had a very bad time with pasteurella as ewe lambs. That's why there's 265 and not 300.

Customer will be blood testing for trace elements to inform bolus choice next winter.

1 thing I don't get is hangovers, think I'd give up drinking me Sen if that started happening now :D

I can't believe people don't drink at lambing time. I always have a beer before bed, but then I don't go round at night

When I was a student doing lambing placement work, the boss would say “finish up sharp tonight.” Boss, 2 vet students and I would go to the local for a couple of pints. Good for team moral

You must be pleased with that! Lovely looking ewes too! How’s the new setup working?

Yes very happy, like to lamb as many outside as we can so twins are ideal. Lamb the singles and triplets in the shed to mother lambs on and found that single lambs are just too big to be lambed outside.
Pens are working well thanks, although all the ewes are away for winter so we haven't scanned any through it. Been using it a lot for weighing hoggs and they run through it a treat.

I’m the same, my main flock is triplets/singles in for adoptions and keep the singles slim enough to lamb. Twins all out.
I happened to be reading the old thread about permenent yards last night and liked the look of your new one (y)

Scanned here today 151% , not the best but scanning guy said he scanned a bunch of mules a few days ago that were only 160% , he reckons percentages are down quite a bit this year

I certainly don't go round at night but I've found that the odd time I've had a few bevvies at lambing time, it coincides with trouble! Not much fun chasing a ewe about half-cut! Good for the waistline and ticker anyway.
