Seeking Input on Drone Technology for Farming Operations

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working on designing drones specifically for farming applications, and I’d love to get some insights from experienced farmers here on The Farming Forum.

Our goal is to create affordable, durable drones that can help with aero spraying, crop monitoring, and overall farm management. Since we’re still in the design phase, I’m hoping to gather some feedback from those of you who have experience with drones, or who are considering them for your operations.

Here are a few questions I’d love your input on:

  • Have you used drones on your farm? What’s been your experience, and where could they be improved?
  • Which aspects of farming do you think could benefit most from drones (e.g., spraying, monitoring, mapping)?
  • What factors are most important when considering drones (e.g., ease of use, cost, durability)?
  • What challenges have you faced, or do you foresee, with using drones in agriculture?
We’re committed to designing drones that are practical and accessible for farmers, and your feedback would be really valuable to us. Thank you in advance for your insights, and I look forward to hearing from you!

Best regards,
Gene
