Self employed wages

What should I expect to pay a self employed person to help with lambing or just self employed in general farm work . Level of skill would be farm experience but not huge experience in lambing.

Given the reduced responsibility to a SP person, £20.00hr is a reasonable charge.

No tax or NI contribution, No pension contribution, No holiday pay, No insurance.

No death in service insurance, No BUPA, Dental Care, Maternity Leave, Gymnasium subscriptions, :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Have to put a smiley face, however the reality is, the items on that line are becoming more common as part of employee benefits.

I employ a lad self employed on a casual basis, he's good, quite happy to let him loose on anything and he was at £17/hr last summer.
No idea if that's good or not but not being worried about stuff getting wrecked is worth a bit.
Same here. Goes on the combine too.

He was asking £15 hr . Thought it was little bit much given experience but hey could turn out good.
I’d of said 15 would be the bare minimum to expect to pay anyone on a self employed adhoc basis.
cost of living and minimum wage shooting up it’s surprising what fresh out of college zero experience people will get paid working in McDonald’s let alone being self employed doing your own books paying for everything your self etc.

As of April the minimum wage is £11.44!
if you work out 5 days a week, 37.5hrs a week (standard office week) minus your legal minimum of 28 days holiday brings your effective wage up considerably close to the £15 that is shock horror…
