Semi industrial plumbing help needed!

I need to repair some pipes on a central heating circuit and local plumbers don't want to know...

Basically it's 2 joints, one straight, one 90 degrees, in 3inch cast/malleable iron. Theads are bsp.

If possible i want to avoid undoing anything else, as at nearly 100yrs old it's FT, as they say. Still completely sound though.

Any bright ideas would be hugely appreciated / avoid divorce...

Many thanks!

Does it need to be in 3 inch? It appears to be reduced down to the pump in the second picture. It might make it more doable if it was down to 40mm or so. Alternatively find a firm of industrial pipe fitters.

Yes, my thinking too re reducing. Not sure how do it though. Guessing one can find a reducer from 3inch to metric, then use joints with solder?

The top one is fairly straight forward, if you have the kit to thread the pipe, two pice’s of pipe and a union. The other will be more tricky and require some dismantling.

As said try to find your local plumber who look after the factory’s around your area, big iron pipe is still commonplace in industrial settings.

You could always keep it in steel and get local pipe firm to thread 3" tube . Use elbows/tees/ as required and for the final joint use a "navy union" -https://www.flocon.co.uk/products/black-malleable-crane-unions?variant=39883429314716&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwgrO4BhC2ARIsAKQ7zUnhHNTgNf0zXSQC0kRkyFVah0apVPlvQ8PtboTH_fa-pX7NWVr4dnYaArM3EALw_wcB
These allow pipe lines to be broken/joined.....

Try a borehole company, Anthony Jennings maybe, he's close to you and would have kit to thread that, or Whatleys. Nash grain have done iron pipes here but not sure if they could do 3"

You need to find a local BSS of similar, they will be able to supply the parts, or even suggest someone to do it.
You will need to remove some bits of existing pipe I’m afraid, but not much. You’ll need 2 x M/F iron equal union connectors, 1 for each joint to make the job easier and a short length of pipe and a 90 degree joint.
