SFI and custom seed mixes

I've got a decent area going into various schemes. Sourcing the straight seeds and mixing them could be a viable option.

Question is what is everyone using to mix it? My Belle is definitely a cement only machine so just curious what everyone else would use?

Thanking you

Depending on the size of the mix, either in the loader bucket with a shovel, or if you have 2 tote bins, running it through a few times from one to the other is the easiest.

Mixing on the floor or in a trailer is harder work I've found.

When we're mixing grass seed (Inc clover and herbs), we just split the mix into little batches (2 bags of this, 1 of that, scoop of another) and tip into a tote. Quick swish with a shovel and repeat.

Gets rid of all the 25kg and smaller bags on a wet day and the totes are ready to go into the drill when the pressure's on.

Either against a wall or in the loader bucket with your friendly grain shovel
Remember if you have a lot of small seeds with big ones to not overfill the seed drill and take a short handle spade with you to give it the odd stir , the will separate if not carefull in the hopper

I love customers who mix there own , fair bit cheaper and so easy to send out , seed comes in from Germany in 25 kgs , and straight out to farms , handling is minimal
