Sheet and wrap disposal costs

Just sent off load of plastic today. We currently fill a trailer up and tip at local waste plant.
3.5 tons at 190 pound a ton municipal waste disposal cost.

Think it will all head to an incinerator to generate electricity.

Paperwork will keep red tractor happy.

What else is anybody doing to achieve a cheaper result.

It was quite dry but can't see it of being clean enough to use for anything else.

I paid £100 a ton last week , only took 280 kgs

We use these guys for silage sheet, fert bags, bale wrap. Have a Biffa bin for mixed waste. Not the cheapest solution but hate the stink of burning plastic.

Where did you find a waste site that’ll charge that little? That seems exceptionally cheap.

Just collected £190+ vat a tonne which is minimum collection charge
Sent just under 900 kg. A lot easier than loading it up and taking it to the tip IMO

£250 per ton collected. Mixed plastic no sorting. Sounds more expensive but very easy. Point to the pile and they help themselves. Greenaway recycling from SE Devon somewhere.

Birch farm plastics don't take any hard plastic so I still need a trip to the tip with a load of drums and assorted crap.

Is there a minimum amount of plastic you can dispose of in England for red tractor?

Do they equate the quantity disposed of to size of your farm? Or do they just want to see a ticket and number for disposal....

Just show them a ticket, have shown a scrap metal or tyre disposal ticket before now and they've accepted it as long as it's some form of waste transfer receipt

Just a ticket.
They weren't very happy that my ticket was nearly 2 years old even though they could see I had a large amount stored in an old lorry body.

Squash it into tote bags with digger then skip last 8 yd skip was 250 got plenty in for that?
