Hi all.
Just wondering if anyone know what Shelton Motors, Ramsey, Huntingdon is like to deal with? They have a piece of kit I'm interested in.
Thankyou

Huge export firm.
I think if you’re expecting a fully sales prepped shiny valeted machine then it’s not the place for you.
Very much “it’s here, it’s this price, it stays runs drives take it or leave it”
I’d happily deal with them

It took a couple of minutes to find that they trade as MC Motors which is about to disappear, and Shelton motors are not listed at Companies house.
Be very cautious.

You'd be advised to go see the piece of equipment in person , and if it is for you that you trailer it away then and there.

They don't have a legal company presence that I could locate on Companies House.
But they do have a big yard that I’ve been in and a serious amount of stock. And when I mentioned their name to a well known local auction place they couldn’t speak highly enough of them. Put a large consignment of stuff their way every month

There is such a thing as a sole trader, someone who doesn't have to register at companies house and if you have an issue with them cannot hide behind a limited liability company.
People have this fallacy that ltd company status provides a greater air of respectability than a sole trader or partnership, the truth is very much the reverse. there is a significant underclass who set up ltd companies in order to later walk away from their debts
