does the abundant rabbit population that are in my 22 acre field all head to the stream in the corner at night time?
there is no moisture in the ground
and very dry weeds growing in the stubble
an internet search states that water is v important for pets at least
never seen one at a water source yet

We’ve got loads of the little blighters about too and the ground has no river/ stream close by? But they seem to manage??
digging down deep in the hedge banks or wherever its cool and predator safe? Their digestive design is close to that of horse.
the kids pet rabbits drink loads whatever the weather?

I have yet to see a rabbit getting water round our yard. And we seem to have loads of them. Never thought about it before

Err, rabbits survived very well ( in plague proportions until myxo ) in quite arid areas in Australia . . .

Rabbits do share a berysimilar GI tract to horses - hindgut fermenters.
It is well known that the Brumbies studied at King Canyon, central Australia, often water only every 2-3 days despite living in an arid environment.
Their population is continually expanding.

They only need water if no greenery about

They're definitely not scared of water anyway Was ferreting once and one jumped into a pond and swam across like a retriever. Was pretty funny actually
