Smaller slurry tankers?

Looking for suggestions for a new 1200 to 1400 gallon tanker to put a water trough on the back of and use as a bowser for cows.

I know it won't be the cheapest way to do it but water pressure is shite here so being able to quickly draw out of a watercourse would be a huge advantage.

A (very) quick Google has only come up with Abbey but wondering if there are any other companies still making smaller ones - some of the fields are up a fair hill so wouldn't want to be pulling anything too heavy once loaded.

We have one field we have to cart water too when the cows are on it. Usually 38ish cows and 38 calf's drink about 2,000L a day. In the heatwave last year it was double

Roughly the size of our groups so 1300 gallon would do about 3 days.

Makes you realise how much they are taking out of the dykes when they are grazing the rest!

There are some open drains on the fields bit don't run anything like enough in a dry spell.

Depending on where your water is and where the cows are would a solar pump not work. Put a tank in the field and a trough out of it let the pump do the running instead of a tractor. The price of a tanker would get you a fair pump alot of pipe and a tank I am sure

One benefit of our marshes, good dykes provide a fence and a drinker in one. Not so good in a wet time though

I would be using some ibcs , two old trailer chassis and a Honda pump. Fill the interconnected ibcs on the trailer with the pump, take to field and pick up depleted trailer.

Merrick loggin makes water bousers for spraying would soon put together your requirements also he can put whatever pump you want on it.

Which ever one you buy, get the biggest widest tyres you can get on it .
