No, but plenty of memories. Pity TFF technology hasn't got 'smellyvision' - there was always an unmistakable smell about Smithfield. Mixture of sawdust, sweet vernal hay, bullock shampoo and cow sh!t

I reckon my first visit was about 1974. Became a regular thing. Drove down some years but usually train from Doncaster to Kings Cross. You could pick out all the farmers on the train - we all seemed to have 'that certain look'

My Grandfather was a farm manager. In the '60's he made his way to London by train for Smithfield. On getting into a black cab at the London Station he said "Earls Court Please".
The cabbie replied "I could have told you that mate". I expect that he was fully tweeded up.

Stopped at a cash machine one night on Shaftesbury Avenue, mates kept going. Got my cash and as I made off to catch them up something female I think asked me if I was looking for sex, a very brief glance and the answer was no, and I hurried off to catch them up.
Don’t care how much money she was offering, I weren’t f•#€*ing that. 🤑
