Soil carbon testing

Which labs are folks using for soil carbon testing? OR organic matter testing? How much does it cost? Our soils are all under grass so looking for guidance on sampling too (I am fully acquainted with depth guidance / W sampling pattern for standard P K Mg pH testing). TIA

Landcrop at Pocklington charge £11.50 for OM test. Takes about 2 weeks

NRM bundles up OM within their broad spectrum test, approx £26. Total carbon % is in their carbon check test, approx double the price.

I have found out recently that organic carbon x 1.7 will give you the som figure

For om Loss on ignition is ok but has its problems
Domass ( not sure on spelling ) is more expensive but more reliable

Dumas. Not to be confused with Dumas nitrogen testing which is completely different.
