Sprayer induction probe.

I'm speccing a new sprayer at the moment.

I use ibcs mainly for trace elements. This usually involves lots of buckets being filled and tipped in induction hopper.

Do any companies offer a probe I can stick intop of ibc and program it to draw a preset amount out into sprayer?

I see welkers on YouTube with a fancy setup for filling. Could any of this technology be fitted on sprayer?

You can fit a cam lock fitting to the pipe work on the induction hopper on a horsch, that way you suck it through a pipe and it counts the volume into the tank too

Yes. On a fastrac

The reason I ask is that fitting another Venturi to the bowl creates another component that needs washing out. Make sure any pipe work to the coupler is above the pipe with the main flow so nothing can settle in the dead end. If you had a compressed air supply, you could just pump what you needed in and not worry about enough suction while you're pouring other stuff into the bowl, thats all.

it works untill the pony flow sh1!s the bed and you end up drawing too much out the ibc or out the fert tank. If you want to go down that line it may be worth you having a tank you can measure into before hand and just attatch the camlock onto then draw out of quickly, the better methods are the premix stations alot of people use which allow you to decant mang and traces into a pre hopper for you to draw from.

Yes they can do we find the tiniest piece of anything on the impeller and they just cock up don't get me wrong they’re game changing not sure if id draw chemical with them. Fert is abit different as you can always up your rate to loose a hundred litres of your getting distracted by the only person magnetised to talk to you when your filling.

For a cheap set up what about a old small sprayer tank with scale of litres on side
put a T valve in suction line to suck from bottom of small spray tank
washing out isn’t going to be critical if only trace elements, bucket of water in top of small tank

There is an option on the Caffini sprayers we sell for a chemical induction probe, it is not a programmable type though. We are able to offer a litre counter at the fill point on several models in the range though so litres transferred could be monitored accordingly.

1 - You would think there would be some sort of programable peristaltic pump available to do the job properly.
2 - If you are drawing the water from a bulk tank, could you pre-mix the trace elements for the entire (say) T2, before drawing individual sprayer fulls?
NB - it would have to be a low pressure fed tank, to avoid any risk of 'back sucking' contaminants into the mains water system, which although unlikely is still a massive no no.
