I've written to my mp.over farm assurance.
You need to do the same.
It's interrupting food supply at a time when it should be suspended.

They've suspended car Mots, extended driver hours, if the likes of me get suspended because of a lack.of paperwork being emailed off, then Warburton's will be short of wheat.
My sprayer will be up soon, I've no intention of mixing with someone to get them to tell me it's in good condition.
I bloody know it is, I service it myself, I fix it myself, I don't want inaccuracies, that's why I spent a fortune making it GPS vari rate and steering.
Gets me angry.

As I understand it [as a tester]. The normal 28 day non conform rules have been extended while the current situation continues. If a test is due or required, it has to be with the agreement of the owner and the tester under the current safety measures............... I don't expect to be very busy any time soon.

I been wondering about this as mine will be due a test in a month. As a 2000 litre 24m machine on 200 acre arable I’m not expecting any issues.

Although considering The. Current situation I can see all this been put on hold not like it’s exactly desperate as majority of folks tend to keep sprayers sumat like nowadays due to testing.

Mine's due now. It's not going to happen, not just because of the C-word, but I'm rushed off my feet at the moment keeping up with spring cereal drilling, pre-ems, PGRs, beet land prep, top dressing, more drilling and keeping up with bonkers demand for potato deliveries and even the eggs seem to be in demand again.

I have no hope of doing the usual back and forth with the tester trying to arrange a date where the sprayer is not in use and with a clean tank and when I have 2 hours to waste "observing" the test.

This spring is exceptional for most of anyway having followed the wet autumn and winter - the chinese flu has just compounded everything with demand, staffing and pressure for future yields.

Normally I post on here in strong defense of RT and assurance schemes, but right now, in current circumstances, we should all be telling them to do one.

Which goes to show that any "defence" of them is based around them not being that important in the great scheme of things

Here (Spain)sprayer testing is classed as a mot for machinery, With mot testing being suspended till further notice sprayer testing is too. Just my luck I passed my car mot 2 days before the suspention came in, tractor not due till october, hope all will be well and back to normal by then.

Had mine done last week.
It's easy enough to keep your distance from the tester, it's outdoors and they will be wearing gloves and PPE anyway.
If everybody leaves it until this is over you may not be able to get a booking for some time. Best just get it done.

Been talking to red tractor this morning, anyone with farm assurance assements to be done will be put on hold, they said know one will be getting suspended for the foreseeable future, I'm ok to continue spraying my crops without the sprayer been tested, you just need to email them of your situation, I told them I'm not prepared to let people on my farm just to test my sprayer putting my life at risk, due to me been in the high risk group, they agreed!

Its not a case of leaving it till this mess is cleared up, its a banned activity by the government, enforced by police handing out fines starting at 500€.
Just imagine a tester, here they come to your home/ground to do the testing, As an example He may go to newcastle first, then Blyth, Hexam, Carlisle till end of the Day. If he was a carrier of the virus, or actually had it without knowing he would leave a trail where people could possibly be infected, not to mention he stopped twice for fuel at the petrol station, multiply this by a few hundred oficial testers it would not take long till someone picks it up, even if 1 person can be saved by stopping testing its well worth it in my mind.
