Spraying in 21m tramlines with a 24m boom.

What is the easiest way to shut the last three nozzles on a 24m boom to allow it to spray at 21m.

We had to jump out and manually turn them off after the headland when we had to do it once

Blanking caps if you don't have triplex nozzles.
If it's a regular thing then fit a plastic tap in both lines.

Nozzle blanking caps but sure I took nozzle out cap one year and blanked with a 5pence just to get going .

Start by having endrigs with at least a 1.5m+ margin.

Why not just spray at 24m

Cut some rubber rings out of some old wellies to block hole

if you have section control.....

we had this problem we sprayed headlands at 24m then turned one jet off each side and cut the spray rate by 12%

if you have a triple holders just turn the required ones round so they are off?

Or just have a set of half rate nozzles in the last three but beware the fine spray will give more drift

What's the point in leaving boom at 24m and spraying at 21m?

Do you have no fences, dykes, field obstacles?

Your going to have a extra 1.5m 3 nozzles poking out each side not spraying. Preventing spray reaching edge.

Get the grinder out and hack it down.

I had to do it when I changed a sprayer. New one arrived in March so everything was planted on 21m. I took the break backs off the boom and built a little 1 nozzle extension for each side. Worked a treat for the few months I needed it.
