So, are you stockpiling vital spares and items for the farm, in case of Shortages and supply issues in January 2021 post Brexit

Tractor spares - filters & oil, hoses and fittings

Implements - Belts & hoses, bearings and earth wearing parts

Dairy - chemicals and milking machine spares

Livestock - vaccines and worming products etc

Arable - chemical and fert etc

Could you be caught out by shortages of vital components to your farming operations??

Will be like the millennium bug . It will come and go with little impact

There was a lot of money, and man hours, put into preparing for the Millenium Bug, which is why it didn’t cause any problems. A lot of contracting software programmers made a lot of money as they were in such demand.

Prep for no-deal Brexit, not so much!

But no, I don’t intend stockpiling anything, other than loo roll of course.

All boluses, feed, mineral blocks and lambing products will all be bought before the end of this month. Bolus’s were all bought in September as it suited cash flow plus buying half then and half in January would’ve meant 2 trips to the dealer and not as much of a discount as ordering double the amount.
Nothing new and I do do this every year mind

And lots of money made by firms "claiming" there was going to be mega problems. Me a cynic never.

Fuel is cheap so makes sense to stock up, I bought enough filters and oil for the tractors etc plus baler twine at the beginning of lockdown in March still have some in stock, covid issues far bigger than brexit.
