Stopping wind and rain getting in to sheep shed

We`ve a shed we use to fatten lambs in that has a 15` entrance with only a gate (helps ventilation) . These last two winters we`ve had a lot of rain/sleet/snow blow in this entrance - something to do with the wind being more of a prevailing Easterly rather than a prevailing Westerly! Lots of WET bedding when straw is far from cheap.
Anyway, to the question. I `m wondering if the Galebreaker roller shutter kit would stop the wetness getting in to the shed - any experiences good or bad please? Or any other ideas? (Access is needed regularly with a tractor so it`s got to be quickly removable)

Many years ago we used an old carpet with a board on the bottom. Wooden prop and some string to hold it up. Proper upcycling.
Could do the same with some heavy duty plastic perforated netting.

A Galebreaker roller screen (other manufacturers are available?) would be by far the best for regular access, but not cheap. A cheaper option might be to build a door frame that swings round out of the way, then clad it with Netlon/windbreak material?

I have a 20’ Galebreaker roller screen here that I’ve never put up as decided the shed didn’t warrant it in the end (and didn’t fancy trying to erect it 20’ up on my own if I’m honest). Top & bottom rollers are obviously long though, so not sure how to courier...

Having re-read the above if you can live with a semi-permanent solution then the Secure Windbreaks are worth looking at https://arkagriculture.com/windbreaks/

You still have the ability to adjust the windbreak and they are a lot cheaper! For instance, a 15" wide x 8'2" height Windbreak would cost £206.00 + VAT delivered before discount.

The photo below was sent to me by a forum member a couple of weeks ago which gives a good idea of their fitment.

We use these. Brilliant. Much better than Space Boarding. Keep most of the rain and snow out yet give plenty of ventilation. Got them on most of me sheds now.

Maybe sheet your gate with some of this? It needs metal vertical battens, to be sandwiched between. Screw battens onto gate with self-tappers. Works in not dissimilar situations here.

They'll probably supply the battens, actually.

We have 4 galebreaker roller doors on a shed, been on about 15 years and have worked faultlessly, we don’t use them everyday but have been down for a couple of weeks now keeping the snow and sleet out

Just for interest currently, but I am looking into options for two 20foot bays, with a 3m drop, potentially 4m if they're easy enough to raise for Access.
Thanks.
If you would like to follow the links I have posted previously in each one their are very good videos showing how they are fitted and how they work.

In the meantime I will message you prices.

@neilo is that the type with the pull rope in the middle?

I have a 12ft wide one, 20ft high that needs to be pulled down to 3ft off the ground..... jeeeeeeeezzus it takes some pulling down, the last bit I have to actually use my body weight 🤣🤣

We put up a Galebreaker after the winter of 2010 when it was -15C inside the barn and we couldn't move the tractor for the several inches of sheet ice underneath it. Made a huge difference. Previous owner had fitted a cheaper alternative mesh with a wooden pole as a stretcher on another barn, fiddly to deploy, not as effective and useless in a strong wind.
