Chuck those gripples in the bin, buy a monkey puller and learn how to tie knots

Tie the wire to the end strainers, T gripples or tied off properly doesn't matter, tension in the middle of the run using gripples, use a proper gripple tool to tension and you will get it twanging tight. Just keep moving up and down the wires tightening each a bit at a time, doesn't take long.
Anybody who suggests driving the staples in hard should be banned from fencing!

Tensioning with grapples takes the galv off the wire and work hardens it.
