Of course, because the Westminster government is the biggest advert for independence.

If Westminster was truly committed to keeping the union together, they would advocate for proportional voting, and an overhaul of the constitution - devomax for all nations perhaps. Or federalcy.
just start with a parliament/govenment for England then at least we would be keeping up with the other three over represented parts of the UK

Where does the UK gov get it from?

We print more, which we can do because we have our own currency which is ours to devalue/ inflate as we see fit.

That idea is nakered if we are independent

Agreed, because SNP had no desire to have their own currency (cue jokes about 'the Giro')

Whys that?

See above - unless you have full control of your own currency, you have no ability to control it, print more money/ issue government debt/ QE etc. How many Indy campaigners did you hear say 'we will keep using the pound' or similar?

North Somerset.
Give Sturgeon the promise of another independence referendum in five years time if she agrees to fund the activities of her devolved administration completely through taxation of the Scots over that period, do away with the Barnett formula and expose the weakness of the Scots Nats case that they are a viable stand alone nation in the 2020’s. Then let the people decide although don’t give the English a vote because they will be glad to see the back of funding Scots Nats.

More power doesn’t cut it. They’ve tried that in 1999 and 2014. It simply emboldens nationalism. If anything I’d be going the other way; they display the competence of a parish council so the level of power they have should reflect that.
