Supplier approvals

Can someone please explain to me why (over the course of the last few years) I now need to spend several hours each year filling in forms (always marked “urgent” in the emails) with my details, assurance certs etc to enable me to supply the same processors as we’ve been supplying for decades?

none of our details, apart from areas grown or varieties, change, ever. The format of the form does however, meaning can’t copy and paste from previous version.

seriously, what is the point of this? it just creates work for all involved. Surely better to have pre-populated form based on previous yr which can be checked, changed and signed.

or is that too feckin simple now? 😡

This sounds like a Red Tractor audit!

It's the gradual increase in "standards" that give the consumers "confidence" in our ability to carry out good practice, all at our expense of course.

It's just job creation. They add more levels each year to justify there existence. It's only going to get worse I think.

agreed.

These supplier approvals are like having to introduce yourself to a stranger every year, dunno how that benefits anyone involved.....

Be interesting to speak to these companies that import from other countries.

What loopholes overseas suppliers have to jump through to be a "approved" supplier.
