Suspicious Drone.

Just had a suspicious car down the private farm drive full of Asians. Turns round outside the house and proceeds to drives back out again. Didn’t manage to get the number plate,, but noticed a drone hovering about head height 15’ from the house window. Followed on foot but lost it. Couldn’t see anyone on the drive or footpaths to control it. Eventually made my way down the drive to the main road where I lock the gates at night and found the car driving down the main road obviously with an occupant flying the drone over the fields parallel with the road. I thought I had just about seen it all until tonight. Can’t decide if it’s harmless or otherwise, especially as I think it was directed at the house.

If one goes over here and I can get the gun I just shoot it down if it's low enough .
First thing that crossed my mind :ROFLMAO: Then comes the realisation of the faff to unlock the cupboard and to get shells from another locked place and all before it’s buggered off. I guess it had more than a sporting chance:oops:

Have quite a few cars etc claiming to be lost or looking for somewhere else. I should have been quicker and got the reg number really. Police were looking for a suspicious vehicle locally a couple of days ago, but an hour or so after it was reported and occupants photographed. Response was just too late to be effective.:(

its also the last shot you will every be allowed to take if the owner is recording footage and takes it to plod. I think legally speaking shooting down a drone is the same as shooting down a light aircraft! :(

Where are the recording devices? On the drone itself or with the operator? If it’s on the drone, shoot down and burn/drown when it hits the ground 🤷🏻‍♂️ You can shoot them down from what I remember being told but only if it’s deemed very sinister/for illegal activity like someone with a drone hovering over children in a swimming pool scenario etc

Local Rural copper expressed "understanding" at a the thought of a drone flying around farm buildings or similiar private property, coming to grief (y)

Whether the FO would agree with a shotgun being used, is another matter.

Considering our local’s tell us to move cars by any means necessary as long as they don’t see it then I’m sure drones will be fine too 🤷🏻‍♂️ FO might be different kettle or fish but not if you have the evidence 🤷🏻‍♂️
