Is that beet or Swedes
You would need to dig a bit deeper for beet , most beet harvesters woukd pick swedes apart from top lifters that would struggle

Are not those made to pick swedes the old fashioned way on top of drills

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread again. Been looking at a Boswell harvester to use for fodder beet. Only got a few acres to lift.
Would this style harvester lift fodder beet please?

The Boswell Harvester could be used to lift Fodder Beet, Think there was an extra sock type attachment to undercut the beet & lift them up out of the ground to reduce waste & wear on the cutting disc. Might have an old brochure with a picture somewhere, but not 100% sure, will have a look.

The Boswell brochure does not have a picture of it, But states; The machine can be fitted with an attachment to harvest Globe mangolds & Fodder Beet.
Someone around here had an older red version of the 2 Row Thyregod Beet Harvester, Think it was used for 2 rows of swedes off the flat back then, but not 100% sure on that, but is designed for beet
