Team viewer remote installing software, keeping safe

I'm going to be having some diagnostic software installed on the workshop laptop remotely via teamviewer.

In this day and age I don't really trust anyone, the laptop is only for the workshop so hasn't got any personal stuff on it, just to be sure I will be deleting all the cookies and any saved passwords it's managed to log. Is there anything else I should do?

Regarding hooking it up to the internet, would I be best deleting the wifi passwords and plugging it in via ethernet?

Are there any keystroke programs so I can monitor what's been done/looked at? I'll scan the computer after.

Once they have finished doing what they need to do, it may be worth making sure Teamviewer isn't set to start when Windows starts and if it is disable that.

Teamviever gone a bit funny latey.
Got it to monitor the - red robots & the fitters can log in

Started to cut the session short because it thinks you are a business. Needs a sub
But lots on the net about folk giving them a sub & still get cut off.

Maybe look at other options

Yes, they changed the user interface a short while back. Made it difficult to talk a remote user through the process of making a remote Connection. I've put a teamviewer equivalent called rust desk on the machines at work.

The technology is secondary to the trust, if you don't trust the person to do the work, don't use them.
You should be able to get a full audit trail of the actions carried out during the session through Team Viewer, check you own local event logs and run a Zero Trust audit after the work has been completed.
