Texel x Charollais ideal weight

Hi,
Hoping someone can help with the ideal weight for Texel x Charollais ewes?
They are 2 years old, but we aren't sure what they should weigh.

Why do they need to be a certain weight?

Isn't size and/or condition more important?

They look to be in good condition. They are kept with Herdwicks which makes the Texel girls look huge in size. They all get weighed regularly to monitor their weights throughout the year. However we aren't sure on what a healthy weight is for the Texel girls, which is why I'm asking so we know when to restrict their food. As they will eat and eat unlike the Herdwicks. We keep them as a hobby/pets so we don't want them being too big and risking their health/lambing.

Both of those breeds have a massive variation in types and mature weights, so it’s absolutely impossible to say, other than somewhere between 50kg and 130kg.

As above, condition score is far more important, regardless of weight. If you don’t know how to do that then I suggest you get someone to show you as soon as possible.

I was fluking my texel x charollais ewes due soon as 100kg today, triplets as 110kg. They won’t go up the combi clamp ramp put it that way

Lol possibly, got the singles in after, they’ve had 6 weeks of “TIGHT” following the rams and were still to fat

Condition score 7.8 (9 point scale) ---lard arse ewes

I only have 2 one is 51kg and other is 70kg.

This is what they look like from around May time. One of the left is the heavier one. They aren't really thick set so I'm not sure if that means they should way slightly less.

Yours would be smaller than average then......but I bet they produce the ideal carcass weight lamb
