I know a girl who used to work in the office of a business butchering sides for food service and doing retail packs for SPAR etc. Last year I asked her what they were paying /kg for sides, and it was roughly £2/kg above farmer price at the time. Make of that what you will. Anyone know what a kill factory would need to cover their costs?

with this weather ie short of grass folks are going to be off loading to many poorly meated cattle going in this might affect the price and good finishers will pay the price!
