The longer range models are beginning to show that there may be a change in the weather towards the middle to end of July, and a return to more westerly winds for August, which will tend to bring cooler conditions and some rain. I would suspect that the second half of summer will be a traditional north/west vs south/east split, with the latter staying largely dry and the former getting some rain, not buckets of it, but enough to help.

If you're east of a line drawn from Newcastle to Exeter, I reckon you're not going to get a great deal of rain for the rest of the summer

I think the wet made the dry worse if that makes any sense
It messed up the soil structure and made the roots shallow

Yes, the plants aren't having to go down too far to find the water. So imagine what the root structure is like after 10 wet Summers. 2006 was the last really good Summer here.

Yes, they're eating more dry matter and less water with every mouthful. Plus enjoying the sun on their backs.

Dont worry everyone Ive just had to order some water fittngs to run troughs from.ibc tanks for a few fields they shoud be here by the weekend. So now ive ordered and paid for them and by the time i get everyrhing set up its bound to rain the day after
