Finished ploughing the beet land despite a puncture in the plough,a bearing on the press, changing points and loading pigs.View attachment 661576
It's a bit dusty. I have to wait till I go back across the field to know if all is well.View attachment 661580
The old chap was chasing me, he would of got all done but ran short of seed so he's got to wait till the morning for the fieldsman to drop some more off. They're going into a lovely warm moist seed bed so should soon be through.View attachment 661582

At the moment yes, our elderly drill wouldn't cope with anything to challenging but if we get a newer drill (which we are looking out for) then I don't see why we couldn't go min till, although we do like to plough deep for beet at 12-14inches-hence the patches of sand and chalk in the picture.
This seems to put the ground in good condition and removes any compaction for the following cereal crops which can then be min tilled.

Come and look at what we done 4 different cultivations in two different fields to compare part ploughed part just shakerator then a bit shaker and big germinator then a bit ravened pulling extra coil , front row tiller does a good job
