he was on a programme on Monday about how our eating habits have changed during Covid, we have plenty of circumstantial evidence but I would be surprised if the BBC wanted to tell everyone we are eating more meat, did anyone see it and what did they tell us?

I heard that sales of vegan foods are down over 70% right across all supermarkets whilst red meat sales are up 20-30% with Aldi reporting better growth than than

Only Magnum Ice Cream left in my local shop was the vegan one.
Unfortunately the mark up on vegan foods is so huge, the supermarkets will still turn a penny even on this sort of collapse so we will continue to be bombarded with vegan promotions

Lambs are selling well,beef also.

I think folk are home cooking way more (obviously) and after 7 days of chicken back to back they are looking to red meat and actually rediscovering it. (y)

A local butcher told me yesterday his turnover is still 40% up on same time last year... fantastic, let’s hope they all remember long term where they got quality traceable meat from.
As for Heap and Craven..... I wouldn’t have either of the farmer hating shytes on the farm, and if no one else did they would soon be out of their over paid BBC contracts.
the media, and the BBC in particular have proven themselves to be the scum I always suspected they were.
Best wishes Ranty.

Why is the BBC doing its best to destroy British culture?

Because quality journalism is hard and expensive. BBC output seems to be a string of:

Sensational allegations with the obligatory "so and so was contacted for their reply" IE by carrier pigeon two minutes before we posted this.

Risk stories - can I get covid from licking this window? What's the risk in crossing the road.

Readers tweets - I don't give a sh!t about what baz in Northampton thinks.

Idiot public doing idiot things - story about idiot girl falling down waterfall was especially funny.

Lbqt, Jews, ethnics, travellers, vegans. Had to double I wasn't using any "slurs" there just in case.

Trouble is that's what the viewing public want. It makes me despair when I look though the acres mindless dross that the British public lap up everyday. :inpain:

The BBC is a left wing propaganda machine. Time it was made to stand on its own feet. Im fed up of having to pay for a TV licence for what should be impartial reporting of news
Really? I have several left wing facebook associates of mine (that I like to pick arguments with) are convinced the BBC is an raving Thatcherite right wing organization :scratchhead: If the right wing think the beeb is left wing and the left wing thinks they are right wing, maybe, just maybe the beeb treads closer to the line of impartiality then those on either wing believe. :ROFLMAO: My own perception is the more serious grown up shows lean a little to the right whilst the lighter "entertainment" productions, including Springwatch and Countryfile, lean ever more to the left.

I see Adams in one of the mags today moaning about the grief he gets off other farmers for portraying the industry as happy clappy brand new shiny and clean!! If he doesn’t like it maybe he should give all the money he’s earnt back and portray the job as it is, hard on the mind hard on the body and hard on the bank balance! He’s been corrupted by a totally anti farming corporation with a one sided biased way of reporting anything that they deem to be a bit sensitive to there middle class snowflake audience!! I wouldn’t pay Tom heap in washers, when they do have something on that might be deemed a bit sensitive to jo-public why can’t they approach it in a positive manner and explain it a bit more instead of saying the classic go to line “the industry is working to improve this”” 🤬 I cant watch it or I’d take a bat to the telly!!
