Hi all
Looking for a bit of advice , our yard tractor with loader needs some new shoes.
Standard tyres are 340/85R24 (front) and 16.9 R34 (rear)
What's the biggest tyres option I could go upto without changing the rims ?
What's everyone's thoughts on BKT tyres ?
Thanks

My loader tractor just reshod rears with Alliance, from Elsey tyres slightly cheaper than BKT I think
Look ok to me, tread not too wide. and bites
99% off road, only concrete in pig shed
Very happy for my situation

What do you want to achieve?
Taller tyres? Wider tyres?
Why do you want to change tyre sizes?
More speed on the road? Better flotation in wet fields?
What tractor? What size are your rims?
If going taller 460/85r34 and 380/85r24.
If going wider 480 70r34 and 380/70r24.

I’ve bkt on rear of a combine and both new tires needed tubes to stay up. Rims were perfect condition. Very nice tires thou. I’d not go to the extreme with front tires on a loader tractor. The angle the bead sits at on the rim takes its toll on the tire carcass. It’s better with them sitting straighter to carry the weight

You can see similar diameter in different sizes here. Also what the next size up in diameter is. Then if you know your rim width, it’s easy to see whats max recommended width.
