I’m very jealous of you guys able to use the semi sidewalks. We generally cover 13-16000 tons(wet) of silage tire to tire. Everyone really complains and a couple of us end up doing a significant amount of the throwing. 80ft wide pits take some tossing. Sidewalls would improve life

Ha! They would be nice. Concrete floors would be even nicer!

Sidewalls can be stacked neatly and carried on a pallet fork lovely job. They also hold no rainwater- less stink and another source of water/food for vermin eliminated.

Get a secure cover and place the sidewalls on top of that.

What are the recyclers/ sellers of the sidewalls doing with the rest of the tyre? Shredding it to get the wire out and disposing of the rubber crumb?

They are £1.20 each from rwn. I've just ordered a load.

Have you got a full load coming ? Would you be able to spare 300 if so ? Can’t find anyone down here in Devon who would have a small amount.

Quite possibly. I won't know how many are on a load until they appear in a month or so, they just say it's between 1900 and 2400. If its2400 I won't need them all.

Your own farm? Life is too short to bugger around making things hard for yourself.. but different if it’s out of your hands, but still worth mentioning to the boss

Took some old tyres to local place , baled and they load containers to go to india to be burnt ,as uk regs too stringent ,
