Vaderstad topdown vs Kuhn performer

Has anyone swapped from one to the other? We had a demo of a performer a few years ago and understand they have made some improvements. We run a topdown currently and are happy with it but the price difference is enough to make us question which to go to next. We are on heavy land and the topdown has developed a lot of cracks through the years. It has also been improved so possibly less risk of the cracks.

Does anyone have any experience of either to give an opinion? We are running 7m machines not that it probably makes alot of difference.

Thankyou.

Having sold both in the past in my previous life (was in the trade for 15 years, now farming) I'd have the Performer on my own farm if I needed that sort of machine.
IMO the Kuhn is better and stronger built, a lot more clearance in the machine and able to work deeper if and when necessary.
A good feature of the Performer is that it uses a switch box in the cab which acts as an isolator for the hydraulic functions. Sometimes seen as a negative because it's a bit more of a faff when setting up, the idea is to stop oil creeping back through the spool valves. Set it and forget it!
Both brilliant machines built by experienced companies that know what they're doing but the Kuhn would edge it for me. And that's before the significant (at least when I was last involved in such things) price difference.
Lastly, wear from the premium points on the Performer was always staggeringly good.

Vaderstad did have a wider range of points available for the Topdown.

In all fairness, you wont go wrong with either and I no longer have any axes to grind so any questions please ask and I will give honest opinions as best I can!!

Cheers
