We have put a few hundred hrs on our Q so far and it goes well. It seems to pull well and its a nice place to spend the day. Tried a 260, optum and jd 6250 and the Q seemed the right balance with power and weight.

The T (and N) series is getting the fendt vario at its next refresh, should be available next year.
The valtra cabin is a lovely, spacious, well thought out workplace. Fendt vario is a much more efficient design than the valtra hydrostat conversation of their powershift 'box

When they also update the sisu engine to something, anything, that produces the torque without the need to consume so much fuel and make so much noise, it'll be a really lovely place to spend a day

In the last year or so i’ve had a couple of valtras on demo. They have been really loud and you are the 1st person i have heard agree with me. I like the idea but no thanks

I do also know of a q series that can’t go all day on a tank of fuel, although i have no idea how big the tank is on one of them

Think it’s 430l compared to our old 933 they are 625l. Not sure what a jd250r is or 728 though. My t series is quite frugal think she drinks less than our t7270.

We have run the sisu engines for a lot of years and when we have compared them to JD or case they have been way more efficient, what are you comparing them against??
Very accurate records of fuel use for Deere, Deutz, Valtra, and NH in this farm going back near twenty years

When flat out power harrowing, the valtra N134 direct (remapped to 154hp at the shaft) will drink near 30% more per acre than the deutz 6180 ttv. With no emissions constraints on the wee six litre four valve tier 4 deutz vario, it is the pinnacle of efficiency in all but transport work

I've accurate fuel records for work here going back near twenty years. Deere, sisu, FPT, and deutz. FPT (with dual clutch dynamic command gearbox) has been best on transport work, pipping a very frugal deutz 6160.4 power shift. Lack of dynamic command discrete ratios let's down the FPT in field work.
