Vicon Rv 1601

I'm gonna go & look at a Vicon Rv 1601 baler (2001), anything specific I should look out for on them? Looks in really good condition.

They sound like decent balers from what I've read. (I'm upgrading from a JD 550)

A contractor near me went from john deere 590s to vicon 1601 and said it was a totally better baler in every sense. I went from a 590 to a vicon 1601mk2 that fed the net wrap in the front of the baler and I've stuck with them ever since. I run a kuhn 2160 now and it's a cracking baler.

Great balers as above we had a 1601 now a kuhn 3160 which is just a predecessor of the 1601. Netter on the rear door was a bit of a faf. Ours was a temperamental but when set right was spot on.

Well I bought it, It looks to me like it has been well looked after by the previous owner. Seems that vicon thought out the general design, the baler looks simple for maintenance. It's only string no net wrap but that don't bother me.

Certainly an upgrade from the JD550 & hopefully less stressful & more reliable.
