I can't find a drop down for emojis in the reply box toolbar. A pitfall of upgrading hardware every ten minutes?
If you are on a phone, you no longer need to use the dropdown. Just use them direct from your keyboard.

Ok, but the range of emojis in my elderly android tablet is very limited. The TFF ones were a breath of fresh air. [Sad face]

Shouldn't have effected tablets, only phones. I have added them back for you.
I was under the impression that alerts would show without refreshing the page with this update? Only seems to happen with alerts for the page you're currently viewing?
Also alerts still don't differentiate between those that have been read and new ones. New, unread ones were bold or something on the old version?

Aw, thank you, Chris
Ooh, there's squillions!
Ah I see, down the left hand side?Alerts and push notifications are two different things and as such have different settings. You do not need to refresh your browser for push notifications. In fact, you don't even need to have the browser open. They use a standard API that you may be using for other sites such as Facebook already. Alerts that have not been read have a blue line next to them.
I realise they're 2 different things, but I thought when asked about "realtime" alerts you said this would come with the push notifications update.Alerts and push notifications are two different things and as such have different settings. alerts are proper push now as other websites use - the icon in top bar will show a red dot and number and popout sidebar will actives just as it would if you get a new email, or nitrification form Facebook , twitter or a million other website that use the same system
it can be turned off in your profile if required

you can search for what you want as well, - type "sad" or "happy" or even "cucumber" in the search box to save hours of scrolling !
