It could be amaranthus retroflexusAmaranthus, had it somewhere. It is an ingredient in Indian cooking and has been grown here , but is a nightmare weed
Do you think it has come in with the game cover mix?I've seen it as well for the first time this year. I only found out what it was after I saw an American tweeted about it being a problem weed over there
Was a major weed for a certain herb grower, who grew some for the Asian market, could not stop the stuff afterwards.It could be amaranthus retroflexus
It's normally a problem in spring crops such as maize and sugarbeet. It's not a major weed in UK, it's more of a problem in the rest of Europe.
I think that's reed canary grass . A real pig in game cover for us. Stale seed beds don't work because it seems to germinate really late after you drill the maize, I've found the best way is to grow bassicia crops like upotia,mustard,radish.
Edit... it may be Japanese millet either one it's a pig.
