Losing your phone on the farm somewhere, it is black, it is on silent mode, it has location turned off...
You wouldn't think they'd be so hard to find when you know where you went.
You would assume you'd learn, and leave the volume on loud, or zip it in a pocket; and after the first couple of times the you'd be smarter??

Contractors who don't mow round gateways because they can't be arsed to get off the tractor seat to close a gate once they're in the field. Also contractors who can't be arsed to get off the tractor seat and close the gate when they've finished the field.
Farmers who cant be arsed to open the gates, been on both sides and when silage contractors arrived all the gates were open and we tried to make it as easy as possible, as you sow so you reap

Farmers leaving chain harrows in the field takes some beating. If your tractor does not find it, your mower will.

Bit of an olde-world problem now, though - nobody (that has contract silage made) has drag harrows any more :)

f**king solicitors that want me to pay for indemnity insurance to cover right of access to a 260 year old cottage that is on an unadopted road that has four houses on it, they said is there any proof that it has a right, FFS only way to get to it unless they fly in, going to be some choice words said to them later, I can see this is going to be the next PPI scandal

Retarded farmers who are incapable of hanging a gate so it folds back against the hedge or fence then whine like a jet engine as the contractor just works round it.

Agricultural machinery groups on Facebook.

I avoided being a member of any until a few days ago, as I wanted to see if there was any trade to be done on there. They all turned out to be completely full of people talking / selling utter garbage.

One guy posted a wanted ad for a socket set. Look on Google or eBay, or even go to your local shop you moron!

Another chap tried to sell his worn ~10 year old shoes (high street store, not anything fancy) on a machinery page for £5. Seriously?

You know the 4wd Ford 3000 that has been on eBay for the last 400 years for a stupid price? It's on a group, now, to be 'raffled' off for £275 per ticket. There are 59 tickets to be sold - that's £16,225... around double the tractor's value. I mean, come on?!

It's f**king EXCRUCIATING. Time to leave them all, I think, for the sake of my sanity.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
