just wondering where others on here buy and sell their dairy cows? People seem to think their cows are made of gold sometimes! Others seem to get them for a pittance.
He might not like the standard and weight of the stock. To buy cheaply you need to employ @Beef farmer as agent.

There's 40 being pd end of the month. I might not need them. Aug calving, 2.3.4 calvers. Lic breed, but not your sort of cows.Well if I'm honest this was my next plan was to just offer him commission on every load he sends into me

Trying to get grass rats to lie in cubicles set up for 700kg cows will make a man turn to drink. All my cubicle are now set for the smaller cows, of the few big ones that are left, a few hang out the back. Saving a few quid short term may not be that great a saving. My sort of cow is adaptable. I love my fleckviehs I really do but my wallet doesn't. with the year we've had I am interested in rats to Holsteins.
The Irish lorrys will be practically coming past your door empty....@multi power has got a stock box we won't take long to fetch them from you

I'm sure that's the most economical transport, but i was getting all excited about a road trip, seeing as i don't get out muchThe Irish lorrys will be practically coming past your door empty....
I would guess looking at pics you've posted hat your cows are heavier than you are allowing.I would guess mine would top out at the 600kg mark with the odd exception and I'm fairly sure they're empty this year anyway. Always amazes me how adaptable small cows are mind. I bought some from a spring calver 2 years ago and dad nearly had a fit when they were delivered. They came to a similar size to my average by the winter

And don't go saying that your bigger cows aren't incalf, people get upset.
Depends what your wanting, fresh, ic heifers, stale or dry. Remember you do usually get what you pay for, we are going to import a part load of flecks for September calving.
