But on the flip side to that I lost my wife last year partly due to my dedication to my job ,,,,,,, those late nights came at a huge cost to me now ,,,,,, so just be aware of those who are sat at home waiting for you chaps ,,,,,,,, just saying
Its a two way sword, work or family, need money to give family a decent life and somwtimes they want that but unhappy when you are out earning it, I'm not that bothered about doing mine now as its too late for fusarium control and as we dont drill tramlines I will roll a bit down which otherwise I would combine, will the cost of the spray and lost grain from the tramlines be more than any extra yield ?

trust me , a divorce will cost you more than a missed t3 ever could !

Just started T3 wheats this morning. Luckily sprayer had been out of action for nearly a week waiting for bits. All sorted now. Spring Barley then after.

My sprayer hasn’t moved for a fortnight now. Last time I used it I was rained off so need to do 6ha again. Far too windy here today have all my T3 some barley and all the maize to spray, 3 or 4 days work to do that and the forecast doesn’t look promising.

I started at 5.30 yesterday morn, sprayed the last 3 spud fields for blight. Was back in bed at 8am ready for the children to bring me Father’s Day breakfast in bed :D

dont worry I know that from personal experience which is why we now have a family flat ib Bournemouth to spend at least one wknd a month in and am going to France for 11 wks next winter, more to life than farming, and strangely I am more enthused over work these days as I' not ground down milking cows 365 days a year, the trouble is its hard to know when to start taking it easier

I think it's safe to say we all know about long hours and getting it in the neck from the other half when she's feeling neglected. Although oddly enough the long hours don't seem to matter nearly as much when her car needs changing or a few bob on a holiday .
