Got a fair bit of spray to do just fed up with either rain or blowing a hooley . So today put boom lighting on the sprayer and a couple of extra work lights so I can just keep going and ain't restricted by daylight .

I’m abroad this week but keen to get the final earwash done on spring barley and a fungicide in spring oats.

I kept thinking about it last night, but it was still gusty as it got dark. Looked out of the window at 5am and it was a beautiful still morning. Second spray on beet and S.Barley has T2, Axial and Moddus on, at last. Just in for a cuppa.:)

We sprayed our Beans yesterday and Spring oats today and plan to do t3 at the end of this week

no rush on t3 here IMO at all and certainly not about to compromise application - low disease pressure and some ears only just fully out

Better to ignore pre-em and do post ems. At least thats what a lot of beet growers do in the east.
Got 2 loads done last night, 1 this am, should have done another but was expecting rain sooner.
What are you spraying beet for at the minute??? Mine are well past virus yellows and there's no ground to get any weed spray onto. Ive just got another dose of mg+mg to go on as and when to tide them over until fungicide time.

As for T3 I had a good day Saturday and finished off Monday so all done here. It was a tad blustery on Monday but with a low boom, steady speed, low pressure and with the aid of the canopy there wasn't any real drift.

Sprayed the home farm today, will do the other farm on Thursday, off to arable event tomorrow to stand around in the rain.
Hope to get there myself, but waiting on electrician as the wet has got into something on the farm, so no power at the moment. Last year , people we’re fainting in the heat.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
