Any idea how much HVO would cost someone if they were so interested? I'm surprised GTL is nearly the same cost as diesel.

Iran sells diesel at the pump for 3000 Rials per litre.
The exchange rate is 0.000019 to the Pound Sterling.
So 1 litre is £0.059
Or
Just over 25p per gallon.
Iran is currently only subject to UK financial sanctions.
So will the Co-op of UK farmers who charter an oil tanker, dodge the US gun ships and other dangers coming up the Suez canal and through the Med please come back on TFF and give us a final price delivered to your farm gates?

nah, I never store fuel in farm ( I don’t live there ), I only ever buy it as I’m using it.

Different when you use road fuel and claim the rebate though. Probably a better system for folk who use fuel sporadically. Not quite as handy though.

I simply buy when my tank gets down to a certain level.
The only thing that breaks that cycle is if a squeeze on supply is possible, like a delivery driver strike as happened relatively recently.
But I can only ever fill to capacity, predicting peaks and troughs is as about as reliable as my grain marketing ability..
