He hasn`t posted since yesterday morning. Hope he didn`t get concreted in :(

I expect he's busy standing with a hose on it!!!

Bald Rick's TOP TIP ...................... NEVER try and concrete in temperatures of 26 deg + when using C50 with waterproofing, NEVER be ambitious with the order, and you can NEVER have enough hands.

Absolute nightmare with concrete gone off before the tampers/screeders got to work never mind the trowel team, the floaters and the finishers. Spent most of yesterday with 5 hammer drills going trying to peck out sufficient to reskim with McKnight team having kittens in case the vibrations moved the deck which would create a wobble :( .
Two mornings of 7am concrete laying following Tuesday's disaster when we managed to get about 2/5 done and the concrete pumper clogged with the guy now growing a forest of nettles out of his chuff. We have a pipe rock solid with concrete that he abandoned

Still, it's finished and Dragon Mouldings are here on Monday to fibreglass so onwards & upwards .........

Why not composite?

I thought one of the NZ manufactures offered a composite sect rather than concrete

Yes Waikato do. My mate has had one. Adds £40k to the price but supposed to last longer and is lighter plus you don't have to burger about with concrete in despair as it goes hard before you can lay a trowel on it.
Last time I cried I was 11 ...... damn near did again on Tuesday

Looking good. How many cube did that take ?
Puzzled by your pump operators ability to grow nettles ? Not something we see in the North East
Unless you are on holiday this heatwave is not much good for anything

30 tonnes worth apparently. Heavy stuff and not easy to work unless lot of water added

Pumper was determined to be cussed like he had a load of nettles irritating his sphincter

My HB parlour has 760mm centres, fine for your average sized cow, which the bulk of mine are,but too small for large holsteins,of which we have less and less.
760mm but at with cows at 50 degree angle? They centres would be reduced to 680-700mm if at 80 or 90 degrees.

Is that all your going to store?

No there will be a mains tank for the washdown of the milk lines, bulk tank and heaters. The borehole tanks are to supply external washdown, plate cooler and then return to second tank to feed water troughs in one of the sheds. Should be plenty according to our calcs
Other sheds have their own tanks

This summer will show any cracks with water if any will.
