Simon Barnett, partner and head of private client at Michelmores, said: “Following a Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal hearing that concluded on 9 December 2016, Peter Williams, partner in Michelmores’ Agriculture team will no longer be able to practise as a solicitor under SRA regulations having been found to have committed a single act of dishonestly and having acted with a lack of integrity.

Well as a single act of dishonesty it was not a small starter sum.
£700K from the lenders, and a nice £1.7M before costs on the resale of the property.
Wonder what the reward was to be for facilitating that nice little windfall for someone.

This should open the floodgates only the tip of the iceberg
the authorities need to step up their game now they have ignored this cancer for far to long
looks like pals in high places

theres a case in London in the past year I think where some punters thought it would be clever to 'back to back' a subsale deal via solicitor to their client who was the buyer. He found out and took them to court where they got financially and reputationally slaughtered - its on that "Baileys" website somewhere

Were is Des we would love a statement on their latest victory
Don't think you will be getting a statement from Des since didn't the now aknowledged dishonest Solicitor describe him as a partner/client of many years standing. How times have changed in two months, no gloating from them now that's for sure.

Williams was dishonest when he worked for Burges salmon years ago.Des was amongst the crew then.Acornworm would like some more information on the jones case in wales can not read any more We were with the national Westminster bank des and them stitched us up solicitor let them away with it des always got the people on his side

Not always. There a few honourable solicitors, and it was one such firm and its senior partner (Wilsons & Steven Whitmore) who were named in the prosecution of this person, having ejected him from their premises and business in 2013..

Done, only did it out of mischief really, received the most predictable reply.Having watched the programme about Hillsborough, and South Yorks and West Mids Police,my trust in the police in general is shot.

Seems Des & Vic havent repaid their loans on Walrow & tin shed and are in default with their lender.

UK Acorn accounts are more than 4 months overdue, Acorn Country Capital accounts are overdue, I wonder why

Might we say that the time period for winding down the Connaught Series 3 loan book, given by Bromhead and co,now seems as though it might have been rather optimistic. Perhaps in hindsight, they might have been better advised taking active steps against UK Acorn when they defaulted on their payments, rather than let them take over recovery, ignoring the conflicted position of the directors.
Lesson to be learnt here for Lendy,do not believe a word that comes out of this mans mouth.
