I would book a week off if you have decent sized gear.
I do recall having mine done although I've tried to block it out. It wasn't painful as such but the doc did keep saying 'try to relax' and I'm lying there thinking 'you let go of my balls and put down the knife and we can all f**king relax buddy'.
Anyway, it was OK. A little sore but more uncomfortable than painful. Life afterwards is far more enjoyable.......

I lost a ball in 99, op at midday out at 3.30, next day feeling very battered, a concerned mate called and said look on the bright side, you will get the snip half price ! Did better than that Good old NHS , Love to save a pound !

Yeah. Why is that? Just for the hell of it I suppose. Make you feel a little more comfortable. I also had a 'hooked on classics' CD playing with renditions of popular 80's TV show themes which I was calling out. Dallas.......The A Team.......Dempsey and Makepiece.....Shoestring...Arghhh

It all seems a bit unnecessary.
I've had lots of surgery in my time and the thought of volunteering for some more just seems completely bonkers.

it's all done and dusted now. was a tad uncomfortable but I had a varocus vein running down one side which made it a bit more painful. had it done on the friday, bit sore on the Saturday and bored as hell on Sunday. the worst bit about the recovery was the stitches pulling!
