Getting fairly late isnt it? Must be yellow

It needs the mill that for sure. Winter wheat mostly some peas and some spring barely.

Personally I’d of taken it a lot earlier but the nutritionist held me back. I think he was right to do so.
That’s a fair chunk to cut . How many cows are you planning to feed?
No luck on the tyre walls I’m afraid.

210-250 cows is the plan. It was never really the plan to have that much wholecrop it’s just how the fields came as mostly that’s all new tenancy. There’s about 30 acres of peas and 20 acres was just a cover crop of barely that’s gone insane and looks better than any crop I’ve sown at full rate

Be late down south for it that’s for sure, most wholecrop in our area would have been done and dusted week/10 days ago, time will tell if I’ve made the right choice with deciding to stick the combine in mine this year

We’ve binned off wholecrop this year too (too much grass silage) and are crimping SB even as I type

If I were to be having issues with wholecrop going off during the winter due to the face being too big would spraying acid on the face after each cut preserve it enough?

Crop just keeps on coming, no one wants any and I’m really not set up at all for crimp so trying to think of ways around it before the inevitable.

Make a field clamp for a dry summer one day
