In 2 hours last night I saw that tesco advert 9 times. A friend's niece asked me yesterday if I was going to have lambs next year. I answered yes, would she like to come and see them again? Her response: I don't know if I'm supposed to it's bad to like farm animals isn't it? :banghead::banghead:

Wouldn't it be lovely if Mr Sarno gets his P45 if his very expensive Vegan propaganda backfires

@Clive with your commercial nouse and connections, could you print up a 1000 bumper stickers please!, saying:

"DADDY, I DONT WANT TO SHOP AT TESCO ANYMORE"

Charge £2 - £3 each to cover production and packaging, money left over to go to RABI perhaps. I'll take 10 please, first ones going on the front door of Tesco with a photo to the press, the rest are going on any vehicle that stops in the yard.

Exactly. That was designed to tug on emotions.

Never gives a reason though....

Imagine a different "Carl's all change" advert.....

"Daddy, I don't want to shop at Tesco..."

:woot: (where's that whistling smiley gone?!)

Great minds think alike....though you've developed the idea far better than me!

In the past on here I’ve knocked Aldi about being a German company, should support our own retailers, blah blah..
I take it all back,so much fresh produce, meat , dairy , veg, nearly all British. And they massively promote the fact.. far better than Tesco and the likes. Aldi virgin and love their buying policy.
Oh yeah and stick ya vegan advert up ya arse Tesco.

Nice idea but big flaw.
I don't think the farmers contracted to Tesco
would be too happy:(

But something needs to be done

(y)

If that vegan tw@ at Tesco gets his way there won’t be any milk at Tesco in a few years, just some mystery Soya ‘goop’ with a meaty name shipped in from the Amazon, and fake ‘milk’ full of e-numbers and rickets.

Quite agree but I've got a feeling this is only the start.
Look which money making bandwagon Jamie Oliver has jumped on.
I think we should be attacking the ingredients of the vegan sausage itself
and see what damage it does to the enviroment it comes from and also
the long term health implications from becoming vegan.
Most so called natural ingredients are not as good as the sales
talk that promotes them.
Basically turn the conscious decision on its head.

Just to add most of the ingredients for vegan sausages come
from abroad as our climate is less suited .
Our government would probably give Tescos a big thumbs up.

Something else that had the same effect ..... made our annual trip to the parish church yesterday for the harvest thanksgiving ..new vicar there who proceeded to talk about the values of veganism ! Had to have a 'quiet word ' with him after at the harvest lunch but for someone who preaches repentance he was very unrepentant ! Found out later he was only a stand in till they get another one .
I'd have challenged him immediately, not after the event!

Worth a watch to see how easy properganda can work.
Had steak and chips with the wife and kids tonight, talked
about this Ad infront of my 6 year old, i ended up eating
more than my share.
In my opinion making young impressionable kids feel guilty by using
the word animals instead of meat.

It occurred to me that veganism could very easily lead to anorexia, -

is an eating disorder, characterized by low weight, food restriction, fear of gaining weight, and a strong desire to be thin...... They often deny that they have a problem with low weight.[3] They weigh themselves frequently, eat small amounts, and only eat certain foods.

Treatment of anorexia involves restoring a healthy weight, treating the underlying psychological problems, and addressing behaviors that promote the problem

Further to my last post a bit more digging found this on a website dedicated to helping those with eating disorders.

Vegetarianism has a higher prevalence among those who have an eating disorder or with a history of one. In one study it was found that individuals with an eating disorder history were more likely to have ever been vegetarian (52% of individuals with an eating disorder history compared to 12% of those with no eating disorder history) or currently be vegetarian (24% of individuals with an eating disorder history compared to 6% of those with no eating disorder history). Similar results were found in another study where approximately 45% of those with anorexia reported being vegetarian.

It can. It does. A young person I know fell into particular company and went vegan from having been a hearty vegetarian. It is important to distinguish between the two types of diet.

That change precipitated a severe anorexia. Had the condition not received intensive intervention and treatment, the young person would have died.

As it is, they've recovered outwardly - back to vegetarianism, and back to an acceptable weight - but it will be a long time before a full, whole recovery takes place.

It is an eating disorder an it is sickening how those afflicted are trying to send impressionable, image conscious young girls to an early grave. It really is disgusting if you think about it.

It's hard to 'like' that, but I fully appreciate your reply.
