Will be watchin this as would like to learnWho makes the vario that goes in a claas or cmatic as they call it? Anyone had anything to do with them are they reliable can't say I've heard of any going wrong and is it the same brand in the 800 axion as the 900s?
As above. The Arion box is CLAAS made.
Think Sa86 got it dead right - ok when no problems but as soon as something goes wrong then best right the tractor off !!
Does agco not do a deal you giv tgem your d6 tranny and 3500 quid and they giv you a overhauled transmission. Least tgats what i was told recently. Hardly a case of rightin the tractor ofIt’s basically a D6. It can be fixed..

Local mechanic and mechanic from massey dealer said it be around that money obviously more for largest in range and less for smallest in rangeNot sure what the figures are but yes, believe they do a service exchange unit alright.
It is basically a d6 and yes can be fixed however when the range box fell in bits on mine it ended up costing me the best part of 8k to repair properly mf parts you would think would fit but I had to use genuine claas parts as they are ever slightly different defiantly left a unpleasant taste after that bill so I think vario is the future they seem fairly well sorted as long as no foreign objects interfere with them they are fairly bomb proofIt’s basically a D6. But the vario is dearer to buy and cheaper to sell so unless you require the versatility of cvt it doesnt add up financially unless you deem it worth it just for pure driver comfortNot a lot more.
In my opinion anyone saying a replacement vario is 10k or under hasn't had the experience yet.
Plenty experts on here that don't really have a clue. Apart from what they heard down the pub.Don't know for claas, but the zf for my jd6910 costs 17k, that's ONLY the trans. You get upto 5k back for the old trans but that still leaves 2 days of labour at least and oil etc.
