There are also farmers self-isolating who will be in a vulnerable group themselves or have vulnerable family members.

Walkers need to know these things, and understand that.

What are they going to do ? Walk through the bedroom ?
I have a question for Mr Roberts:
When you next go up to London Town - because you will, at some point, do so - will you put squirty soap on every surface that you touch ? Well, will you ?

Does the man with the kite's origin matter ? About as much as whether he is a 'local' or not. Which is kind of my point.

Look
It doesn`t matter what your opinions are
The government rules are
NO UNNECESSARY travel
It`s not f**king rocket science
The roads around here in general are very quiet as far as cars etc go
But there are loads of f**king idiots on bikes, ignoring the rules as f**king usual

The goverment state to do your normal weekly execise so it may be hard to get a conviction , and i aint his defence lawyer either
So if my normal weekly exercise is to goto the gym? Drive to the beach and walk? Take the dog for a day along the coast path?

We all have to cut back. Why if you have two wheels and peddles does that make them different?

2nd offence 100% for a month, or no hospital bed if they get covid 19, Then see if they like it!

But Boris said not too do that didnt he , he also said carry on Cycling, even said it twice in his statement, and went so far as too keep bike repair shops open if you break down
This topic reminds me of people who are using the CV outbreak to have a dig at Boris and the Tory Party , Labour activists and Cycle haters

Boris also said "stay local"
So your cyclist should be going round the block no more than 5 miles from home I would call that.
Common sense , if you haven't got any and are putting lives at risk then lose your payments

Yes thats what i do ,
And i choose roads that are quiet and are safer to ride on
And if there is a car behind and he cant pass on a narrow road i pull in and let him pass

We are the lucky 1%.
We can step out of our back door and still be self-isolating. We can walk down the track and still be socially distancing.
For millions of people, the only way they can get any fresh air for their family is to open the back door, get on their bikes and peddle like hell, holding their breath, until they get to some green space. Cut them a bit of slack, yeah.

Whoa there cowboy, take a breath hold it, the discussion was about a cyclist doing a 175km ride, that wasnt around the block and local, thems the rules, I got a tank of fuel on farm, so why can't I jump in the car and go for a drive? No difference is there to get my exercise and fresh air.
Point 2 , who's fault is it they have to " peddle like hell, holding their breath, until they get to green space"? It sure ain't mine, anyway now the polluters are now having to use their own created space and environment for exercise they don't like it.
Boris say stay local, 175km ain't local! Or in the current climate socially acceptable!

Now breathe.... the fresh air that that the carbon sink of grass and livestock have produced .

Problem was with cars as you know they congregate at places like beaches and country parks , drive up the Sussex Downs you will see hundreds of them parked up and out walking , Cyclists as a whole tend to be loners , well they are around here, they have also been specifically told to ride alone , there is aways a risk that the medicine so too speak here could kill more than the illness as in locking people up and all other knock on effects

Problem is with people leaving their homes at any point.
Dont care if they are loners or not. Stay local is the advice, if you dont expect the nanny state to bring in further controls.

Put back wheel up on blocks and sit in the front room as @Dry Rot suggests.
No need to go any further than 5 miles from home.

I can vividly remember back to 1978 when I was forage harvesting in the field above the house in a MF 595 with a Kidd double chop behind, when I was targeted several times by a rather frightening Fairchild A10 tankbuster aircraft. It's a plane that you cannot mistake, because it has two large jet engines fitted near the tail, above the fuselage. The damn thing came at me at a strafing angle so I could see the pilots head and visor clearly. Probably an American Air Force plane at the time, although I never noticed markings. Well I wouldn't, with the thing jetting down at me, head on.
We used to have lots of them in derbyshire flying through the valleys. They always seems a more intimidating aircraft than others.
