We do straw for muck to help that. You would need to be thinking that straw used this autumn winter would need to be priced into your BB equation at £80 ton considering your location.

Exactly. Put up B & B pig shed, for which planning is relatively straight forward, then when you get fed up get change of use.Commercial rent of a bulk standard farm building for storage, with no input 7 days a week £2/3 squ ft or more. Work it out.
Dont forget bonuses for weight and feed conversionThat doesn't seem like a huge amount if you're providing straw and water?
Because I wanted the muck, and to increase our agricultural turnover and profit for tax reasons. Why bother building a pig shed just build a farm storage shed then convert use!!
9 weeks for 7kg to get to roughly 45kg here. Who’s offering that? Seems a very good priceHow long for a pig weaned at 4 weeks to reach 30 kg? Slatted house, hopper feeders.
Man offering £6.50/pig. I'm out of pigs 10 years but houses still pretty good .
It’s the old farrowing house. Crates are sold, solid steel 3/8 rod slatted floor still there. Make pen divisions out of stock board. Don’t think you could keep them much beyond 30 kg in those pens.I’d be surprised if they only keep them to 30kg. More like 40. That lowers the weekly rate. Maybe 9week turnaround instead of 7
It’s N Ireland..you wouldn’t know them. Big demand for contract rearers/finishers over here. Men taking out big loans to build for contract finishing.9 weeks for 7kg to get to roughly 45kg here. Who’s offering that? Seems a very good price
Better to use Paneltim than Stokboard IMHOIt’s the old farrowing house. Crates are sold, solid steel 3/8 rod slatted floor still there. Make pen divisions out of stock board. Don’t think you could keep them much beyond 30 kg in those pens.

We just had a long chat. He didn't sound too wobblybe seated when you get the reply
As above though it is good stuff, stokboard is too wobbly and needs support every couple of feet
With how many pigs and how many batches would that be?Gross income £35-45k pa. Net income or profit can't really say as it depends on so much.
