Just had a 1k for jack Russell pups, nearly didn’t have the balls to ask it but when you look on the internet that’s the price!! Know a lad who had litter of collies an one woman came an bought the lot for fly ball competitions, apparently had a waiting list at the club!! Very dear at the moment

So, will the charities be full in six months time? I'll bet there is an awful lot of people right now learning that dogs need training, chew furniture, bark, sh!t on the floor, cost a fortune to feed, collect vet bills, tie you to home, collect solicitors bills, need exercising, breed indiscriminately, chase sheep/cars/bicycles, etc, and demand a lot of care and attention. Think what happens to exotic pedigree sheep, eventually.

My sister just got a pup- cocker x jack russell/poodle. A mutt. Paid £1500 for it and then was surprised at the premium on insurance. Madness, but at least they changed their mind from a miniature dachshund 🙄🤷🏻‍♂️

Maltese £3000
Schnauzer £2750
Toy Poodle £2200
Cockapoo £2300
Blue Staffy £2500
American Pocket Bully £3750
Wire Haired Fox Terrier between £2200 and £3000.

Our WHFT Bitch was £1200 in May last year including microchip vaccinations and health check from a vet, and KC registration fee. Dogs were a £1000, these were prices almost universal throughout the country for this breed, now it's case of what can you get out of buyers.

These are prices quoted on pets4 homes, who have now started a scheme where deposits or monies should be paid to them and they will pass on to the breeder to stop scams where people have been selling pups that don't exist.

I'd never paid above £100 for a dog in my life before that.

I will not pay the crazy asking prices, even though I need another Lab. Breeder with good Labs near us was going to ask £2k for some really nice pups, the Stud dog owner said Nah, charge more..... They are now up for £4K. I declined the revised pricing...

Kind of hope that all the sharks get a knock on the door from HMRC. Herself stalks the dogs for sale forums, and reckons she can spot the regular breeders a mile ogf, then so can the Tax man...

Talking to someone who does a lot of trialling and breeding a few months ago and they had a waiting list as long as their arm, they were charging £500 to a working farm and £1500 to non farmers. The demand was blood lines as much as “wanting a dog”

The first child costs a parent £120,000 apparently. The dog was much cheaper and tbh is faster, better at keeping the race full and less smelly, bargain get your cheque book out
