Been leasing for years , never paid a penny on return , then they stung me big style on the last ones ,so done with it , never again , that was a main dealer as wellI’ve leased 3 Volvos now,2 though main dealer and current one through the buying group I’m in. Downfalls are them nit picking about tyres, scratches and alloy wheel damage. It was cheeper the last time around rather than purchasing. Only half way through this contract so will wait and see.
What was wrong with them, looks like there joking up with another big playerWe Lease our trucks through Lease Plan. Would never use them again given the choice. Last trucks were through ALD. Would use them again as they were helpful and managed to answer an email in less than a month.
Thinking of going down the leasing route for the next car, what companies can people recommend? Any pitfalls to watch out for?
Be some interesting chats about end of term PCP deals given the resale values nowLex Autolease have been good in the past in our experience
you will get much better deals on pre spec’ed. “stick” cars vs specing your own
only potential pitfall is return condition, be aware you will get charged for any damage beyond wear and tear. It’s often worth having anything rectified yourself ve letting them do it at higher cost
not had any bad experience really though
contract hire looked expensive vs buying last few cars we swaped though, PCP is worth considering as a half way between outright purchase and contract hire / lease
Problem is your locked in so the pcp company is the winnerBe some interesting chats about end of term PCP deals given the resale values now

That was my understanding, the asset is worth more than the balloon at the end...this time.great news for people on PCP - the settlement number will be far below the cars value in. most cases
not a lot to discuss, pay the settlement, sell car on WBAC etc and pocket the difference ! or use that equity to reduce the payments on the replacement car
